I want to compute the distance between pick up points and drop off points. Using the GreatCircleDistance R extension works fine. But what if I want to use Modeler's native functions? I can Derive a field, say, PICK UP POINT, field type Geospatial, by specifying latitude and longitude as a list.

It is unclear, however, what the order of the arguments is, lat and long, or long and lat. I can not find documentation on that. But proceeding, I have derived PICK UP POINT and DROP OFF POINT. Then I try to use the distance function to derive the distance between PICK UP POINT and DROP OFF POINT.

However, the distance that is computed does not match the distance computed with the R extension. In short, is there an example where lat and long are converted to points, and the distance between the points is derived, all using only Modeler's native functions. Any help appreciated. Thank you, Jos.
